The following information concerning the 2007 IAWP Award Nominations process was recently provided to L&I management. Chapter Chairs and members may also file nominations for achievements by individuals or groups in the various categories.
Please be aware that documentation from the Chapter web site (pachapteriapes.org) must be printed on or before December 31, 2007.

SUBJECT: 2007 IAWP Award Nominations
The Department of Labor and Industry and the Pennsylvania Chapter of
the International Association of Workforce Professionals (IAWP) are
seeking nominations for the 2007 IAWP Awards program.
These awards recognize outstanding performance and/or service by
employees in all areas of workforce development. Please take this
opportunity to nominate an office, process improvement team, individual
employee on your staff, or a partner in the community who has made an
outstanding contribution to the field of workforce development.
The Award categories for which we are seeking nominations are:
• Team Excellence Award
o Single Office
o Multi-Office/Multi-Bureau
• Process Improvement Award
o Single Office
o Multi-Office/Multi-Bureau
• Specialized Customer Services Award
o Individual
o Group
• Citation Award (for partners only)
o Individual
o Group
• Award of Merit
o Individual
o Group
• Services to Veterans Award
o Individual
o Group
• One-Stop Award
o Group only
• Administrator Award
o Individual only
• UI Award (New as of 2006)
All nominations should reflect activities and/or accomplishments
achieved between January 1, and December 31, 2007.

All Award nominations must be formatted as follows:
1. Must contain a title page;
2. Must contain double-spaced typed narrative that explains what was
accomplished, when and how it was accomplished, and the results or
achievements;
3. Must contain supporting documentation such as newspaper clippings,
letters of commendation, testimonials, work products, etc.;
4. Must contain a cover memorandum to the Awards coordinator, which
includes the name, office address and contact phone number of the
individual making the nomination.
Nominations must be postmarked or hand delivered by Monday, January 31,
2008 and should be forwarded to:

Questions on the nomination process for this Awards program may be
referred to the Awards Coordinator via email at abetti@state.pa.us
It should be noted that where possible, individual, group or office
nominations will be submitted for judging at the International level.
Winners will be recognized at the International IAWP Educational
Conference scheduled for June 2008 in Richmond, Virginia, and featured
in the International publication Workforce Professional that is
circulated to all members worldwide.
With the exception of the Award of Merit, the nominee need not be an
IAWP member as long as a member submits the nomination. Please take
advantage of this opportunity to recognize those employees who have
done an outstanding job of providing excellent service to our customers
during the past year.
